The Motorsport Management curriculum at Belmont Abbey College educates students to work in this highly complex environment with particular emphasis on the business, management, cultural and legal characteristics of the motorsport industry.
Students in the Motorsport Management curriculum integrate the skills and knowledge of the industry with the values of the College’s liberal arts curriculum. This combination of specific knowledge of motorsport, coupled with the creative, ethical, and analytic emphasis of the liberal arts produces talented professionals in the field of motorsport management.

The Opportunity
Ten years ago when racing legend Humpy Wheeler brought the idea for an academic program built around motorsport, newly minted President Dr. Bill Thierfelder was intrigued. A decade later the Belmont Abbey College Motorsport Management program has evolved from a field of concentration to a full degree major and has become a viable resource for the racing industry. Our innovative program and its related alumni and industry advisors bring together a powerful group dedicated to moving the program into its second decade developing the next generation of motorsport leadership.
