Position Summary

Belmont Abbey College invites applications for adjunct faculty to teach philosophy in our traditional day program in Fall 2020.

Job Responsibilities

This is a part-time position for teaching PH202 Introduction to Logical Reasoning and PH301 The Good Life (Ethics).  There is some possibility for teaching other courses in the Spring 2021, depending on the needs of the College.


The ideal candidate would want to contribute to an academic community with a robust Catholic and Benedictine vision of education.  Applicants must have a Master’s degree in Philosophy, but a Ph.D. is preferred. Prior teaching experience is also preferred. Preference will be given to instructors who could also teach natural theology and the history of modern philosophy.
