Events Manager for College Relations
Belmont Abbey College invites applications for the current position of Events Manager for College Relations.
The successful candidate for this full-time, twelve-month position will use his/her working knowledge of corporate event planning, and excellent oral and written communication skills to produce events for the Office of College Relations at Belmont Abbey College. The Events Manager works closely with clients and team members to design and produce successful events for constituent groups and alumni. This position will report to the Associate Vice President of Administration in the Office of College Relations.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 2 years of experience in event planning, OR a combination of education, experience, and training. Successful candidates will possess strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills and possess the ability to communicate sensitive information/feedback with tact and professionalism. Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills with a commitment to excellent customer service, and the ability to work collaboratively, and navigate a complex work environment. Experience with budgets, various technologies including advanced knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office Suite, event management software, database and project management software, and CRM systems. Prior experience in event design, planning/management, advancement, fundraising, alumni engagement, non-profit, or a university setting. Possess a high level of professionalism and commitment to confidentiality with sound judgment and discretion. Flexibility to accommodate changing priorities and deadlines. The incumbent will be expected to work in the office at Belmont Abbey College.
