At Belmont Abbey College, our mission is that in all things God may be glorified. Our excellent faculty and staff have dedicated their lives to living out that mission of the Abbey and overcoming the unique challenges we face today.
That’s why this past fall we were happy to welcome our largest ever new student enrollment since our founding in 1876!
Our students have certainly enjoyed our admissions process being test-optional and accepting of unofficial transcripts.

Not only that, we added five new degree programs in the sciences, healthcare, and business fields, were ranked as one of the top colleges in the south by U.S. News & World Report, and recognized for continued academic excellence through our accreditation by The Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges.
Our mission comes from our 1500-year-old Benedictine tradition of prayer and learning and carries over to how we approach education. For nearly 150 years at the Abbey, we’ve remained committed to the development of your whole person in mind, body, and spirit.
