
The College Activities Board (CAB) of Belmont Abbey College would like to offer you the opportunity to take advantage of one of the most creative, energetic and entertaining programs available at the collegiate level. The College Activities Board is a hard-working student organization committed to providing innovative and exciting programs for its students. CAB regularly sponsors social weekends, dances, comedians, musical performers, coffeehouse performances, lectures, and other special events. These programs are open to all members of the College community.
There are eight diverse committees that make up the College Activities Board (CAB).
Spirits and Traditions: Allows you to be part of living the Crusader spirit and traditions by planning annual events such as Homecoming and Spring Fest . This committee specifically coordinates the university-wide celebrations of Week of Welcome in August, Week of Madness in October and Homecoming in October.
Publicity: This committee is responsible for "getting the word out" to students and other members of the college community.
Social & Live Entertainment: As the name implies, this committee is all about entertainment ranging from comedy, live music, variety acts and other entertainment trends.
Tour Excursion: From off-campus movie nights to the BAC - College Road Rules Challenge, this committee will be responsible for developing and implementing all off-campus programs and events.
Film/Art Series: You can see it all here! Throughout the year, this committee merges a combination of the blockbusters, classics, independents, visual media and new "sneak peak" screenings.
Talks and Topics: Sometimes In an effort to complement the academic mission and to support a marketplace of various opinions and ideas, this committee works to provide forums, lectures, debates, and talks on a variety of issues and topics.
Special Program Series: Stand up local comedy, open mic, poetry slams, improvisations, dances. you name it and this committee can work to include acts in its Coffeehouse series. By nature of its title, this committee works to meet the ever-changing needs of students and providing an open, flexible series of programs in a coffeehouse format.
Hospitality: The name says it all! This committee is responsible for ensuring the highest level of hospitality to all students, vendors, artists, invited guests and attendees of all CAB-sponsored events - from greeting attendees to ensuring that a hospitality suite has been prepared for performers.
