Welcome to the Belmont Abbey College Family! We are looking forward to you joining us in August. Move-in for new students is Friday, August 22nd from 9am-1pm. Look for more details coming to you in the mail this summer.

You have heard from many people that “going to college is the best time of your life!”. This will be up to you. Like so much else, the more you put into Belmont Abbey and the more involved you become the richer and fuller your experience will be. Our goal is to help you with that. We will be working with you and supporting you to make that happen.

What is Orientation? Orientation is the first few days you arrive here at the Abbey in which you are given the tools to succeed in college. The weekend is full of opportunity to get to know the college, to meet the faculty and staff that will be with you for the next 4 years, and most of all Orientation is the time when you get to meet your classmates and make friendships that will last a life time. There is a lot of information that will be given to you this weekend, make the most of it. Go to all the events and attend all the sessions.
Students sometimes ask if they have to attend Orientation. The answer is “YES”. All new students are required to participate in all of the programs. Orientation will help you get off to a great start and make your first semester much easier! Plus your first college class is held during Orientation. Look for a detailed schedule of events to be sent to your home this summer.
If you have any questions or need anything before August, please contact the Coordinator of Student Activities and Orientation, Patrick Motter at 704.461.6780 or email PatrickMotter@bac.edu.
This is a mandatory event and we look forward to seeing you August 22nd.”
