Responsibilities
The Head Women’s Soccer Coach directs and supervises the operations of the Women’s Soccer program (a roster of 30 players) within the rules and regulations of Belmont Abbey College; develops and implements a comprehensive recruiting plan that attracts and maintains student athletes capable of succeeding in a highly competitive academic setting; schedules home and away contests, makes travel arrangements, prepares for games, executes practice, and scouts; maintains budget guidelines and actively involves the program in the community for fund-raising purposes.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s Degree in a related field with playing experience at the collegiate or professional level and coaching experience at a college, university or club level. A “B” or “A” license from the United States Soccer Federation is required. Major Division I or Division II experience as a player is preferred. International experience is a plus, as is experience in the professional leagues as a player and or coach. Candidate must have a resume that reflects excellence in all activities involving the game of soccer. Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations is required. Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel is required. The candidate will need to have experience in training and coaching select female student athletes and be a progressive, advanced and creative innovator of training and technique in the game of soccer.
