Human Resources Generalist
Responsibilities
Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, the Human Resources Generalist will use his/her working knowledge of general HR practices, current employment laws and regulations, and excellent oral and written communication skills to provide superior customer service to the Belmont Abbey College community. The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for providing assistance to campus departments in the recruitment of Faculty and Staff; the co-facilitation of new hire orientation; the management of data in the HRIS system; the administration of the College’s employee benefits programs; and other relevant human resources duties.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or a Business discipline and a have a minimum of 3 years of experience in an office of human resources, preferably in a higher education, non-profit, or service-oriented setting. Advanced PC skills including the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook are required. PHR certification and prior experience with Blackbaud’s payroll system is a plus.
