Students wishing to study abroad must fill out and submit an Application for Study Abroad which must be approved by 1) Director of Study Abroad; 2) the Chairperson of the major department; 3) the Dean of the Faculty and 4) the Dean of Students. The completed Application describing the proposed course of study should be submitted to the Director of Study Abroad during the semester prior to the projected year or semester abroad.
A maximum of thirty (30) semester credits may be earned under this foreign study option. The College reserves the right to refuse to accept work done in a program abroad without the prior authorization of the Dean of the Faculty.
Shorter term study abroad courses are also offered, usually during the Summer, by various departments or faculty. For participation in these courses a minimum cumulative average of 2.0, or the permission of the Dean of the Faculty is required.
Limited funds for travel grants are available to interested and qualified students. These travel grants are awarded on a competitive basis. Interested students should fill out the Lowry Travel Grant application and get in touch with Dr. Robert Jones (robertjones@bqc.edu), the Director of Study Abroad.
