Pre-professional Programs
As a college in the Benedictine tradition, Belmont Abbey believes in the development of the whole person, guided by the liberal arts, as a responsible steward of the true, the beautiful, and the good. The college's core curriculum and major fields of study aim to furnish students with the flexibility to adapt to rapid change and to continue a lifetime of learning. We believe this to be the best preparation for any career that students may choose to pursue.
In some cases, the interests of students may lie with fields requiring significant post-graduate study such as law or the professions related to medicine. For them, the college offers a minor in pre-law, as well as pre-professional programs in Dentistry, Medicine, Optometry, Pharmacy, and Veterinary Medicine through the Biology major.
