BELMONT, NC --- Belmont Abbey College will be the premiere locale as more than 60 area businesses and exhibitors prepare to participate in this year’s Gaston County Business Expo.
The “We Mean Business” Expo, sponsored by PSNC Energy, is scheduled for Thursday, August 11, 2005 from 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM at Belmont Abbey College. Admission is free. The event will be followed by a reception, “Schmoozing at Six.”
“The Business Expo is an opportunity for the Abbey to connect with not only the Gaston County business community, but the regional business community as well,” says Monte Monteleone, director of prospect management at Belmont Abbey College. “We’re expecting well over 300 visitors on campus for the one-day event, which is a huge opportunity to showcase the Abbey and what we have to offer.”
The Abbey will not only host a number of campus and Basilica tours, but will also provide information on the Abbey Players, athletic teams, admissions and its Adult Degree Program.
The Business Expo will feature live music, refreshments and a live broadcast on local radio station, WGNC, 1450-AM.
“Getting the Abbey’s name and what we have to offer out to the region is the responsibility of everyone connected with the Abbey. We are looking forward to working with the Gaston Chamber of Commerce and help in promoting the economic development of this entire area,” says Monteleone.
