U.S. Servicemen Remembered by Students at Belmont Abbey College
Special Veterans’ Day Service to Recognize Efforts, Current Conflict in Iraq

BELMONT, NC --- Students at Belmont Abbey College will commemorate those who have served in the Armed Forces during a brief memorial service on Thursday, November 10, 2005 at 4:30 PM at the Abbey Cemetery at Belmont Abbey College. The Veterans’ Day service will be in honor of those who have served their country through the years, including the current conflict in Iraq.
In preparation of the memorial service, students will begin placing 2,000 crosses near the cemetery with the names of each of the servicemen on Wednesday, November 9, 2005 at 5:00 PM.
